À l’occasion de la célébration de la Journée de l’amitié franco-polonaise le 20 avril, nous avons le plaisir de programmer le célèbre film de Krzysztof Kieślowski, La Double Vie de Véronique, réalisé en 1991.
Le film sera présenté en version originale (français et polonais ; les passages en polonais sont sous-titrés en français) avec des sous-titres en anglais.
La projection sera suivie d’un verre de l’amitié.
Il y a 20 ans dans deux villes différentes (en France et en Pologne) naissent deux petites filles semblables. Elles n’ont rien en commun, ni père, ni mère, ni grands-parents, et leurs familles ne se sont jamais connues. Pourtant elles sont identiques : toutes deux gauchères, elles aiment marcher les pieds nus, et le contact d’un anneau d’or sur leurs paupières. Et surtout, toutes deux ont une voix magnifique, sublime, un sens musical absolu, et la même malformation cardiaque difficilement détectable. L’une profitera des expériences et de la sagesse de l’autre sans le savoir. C’est une histoire d’amour, simple et émouvante. L’histoire d’une vie qui continue, quittant un être pour se perpétuer dans le corps et l’âme d’un autre.

Twenty years ago, in two different cities (in France and in Poland), two similar little girls are born. They have nothing in common—no shared father, mother, or grandparents—and their families have never known each other. And yet they are identical: both left-handed, both fond of walking barefoot, and both drawn to the sensation of a gold ring against their eyelids.
