L’Institut français de Prague a le plaisir d’accueillir l’exposition Akhir Faysal – Faysal Last Stop, un projet artistique et documentaire né de la collaboration entre le CEDEJ-Khartoum (Centre d’études et de documentation économiques, juridiques et sociales) et l’Université de Padoue.
Inaugurée pour la première fois au Caire en novembre 2024 (à l'Institut français d'Égypte), l’exposition donne à voir et à entendre les trajectoires de femmes soudanaises ayant fui la guerre déclenchée au Soudan. Réinstallées dans le quartier populaire de Faysal, au Caire, ces femmes ont participé à un processus de cartographie collective mêlant récits de vie, créations sonores, peintures, objets du quotidien et supports graphiques.
Akhir Faysal offre un aperçu sensible et profond de la vie quotidienne des femmes soudanaises en exil en Égypte. À travers cette démarche participative et immersive, l’exposition propose une autre manière de représenter la migration, en donnant la parole à celles qu’on entend trop peu. Elle rend visibles des histoires intimes souvent éclipsées des discours dominants.

The Institut français of Prague is pleased to host Akhir Faysal – Faysal Last Stop, an artistic and documentary project born from the collaboration between CEDEJ-Khartoum (Centre for Economic, Legal and Social Studies and Documentation) and the University of Padua.
First inaugurated in Cairo in November 2024 (at the Institut français of Egypt), the exhibition gives voice and visibility to the journeys of Sudanese women who fled the war in Sudan. Resettled in the popular district of Faysal, in Cairo, these women took part in a collective mapping process that brings together life stories, soundscapes, paintings, everyday objects, and graphic media.
Akhir Faysal offers a sensitive and profound insight into the daily lives of Sudanese women in exile in Egypt. Through this participatory and immersive approach, the exhibition proposes an alternative way of representing migration—by amplifying the voices of those who are too often unheard. It sheds light on intimate stories that are frequently overlooked in mainstream narratives.
